Training Manager, Centralized Accounting

Overview

The Training Manager, Centralized Accounting will be a key player on the Accounting Team, working closely with the General Managers, Assistant General Managers and Centralized Accountants to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge and resources to accurately, effectively and efficiently fulfill their accounting-related responsibilities.  The individual must exude strong customer service skills in this role and communicate frequently with the Regional Operations Team.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding the month end and year end closing of the hotel’s financial statements
  • Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet Preparation and Analysis
  • Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Understanding of the accounting systems and checkbook accounting
  • Sales Tax
  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables and General Ledgers
  • Design training programs for new General Managers and Assistant General Managers to understand the company’s accounting processes, procedures and systems
  • Facilitate training one on one and via webinars
  • Provide task force assistance at properties at the request of Area Vice Presidents
  • Identify and Communicate training gaps to Senior Leadership
  • Track the effectiveness of the training
  • Assist Accounting team in completing quarterly closing duties required by Hotel owners
  • Support the accounting team as needed and other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

  • College Degree Required. 
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory accounting experience. 
  • Training experience a plus.
  • Hospitality accounting experience strongly preferred. 
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
