Exciting Opportunity for a Director of Operations at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center Center!

Crestline Hotels & Resorts is currently searching for a dynamic Director of Operations in the Virginia Beach area who possesses an unparalleled dedication to service excellence.

Positioned as one of Crestline’s Key Operational Leaders, this is a phenomenal opportunity to:

  • Work at an upscale 236 rooms hotel, centrally located in the Town Center area in Virginia Beach
  • To be in a leadership role as well as working hands-on in all departments focusing on front office, housekeeping, engineering and food and beverage

strong predictor of success for the Director of Operations will be the ability to:

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Engage with department managers and supervisors as it relates to staffing, service and financial performance
  • Develop cohesion with direct reports and develop each ones potential
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all operations department policies/service procedures
  • Successfully interact with Executive Committee members, other key leaders, staff across the hotel and Hotel Ownership, as well as key corporate staff

Responsibilities

  • Understands and enforces all safety protocols
  • Creates and maintains a positive, safe environment that instills confidence for both employees and guests
  • Willingly embraces last-minute changes in direction and unexpected changes in operational plan
  • In the absence of the General Manager the Director of Operations will assume this role as the Manager on Duty
  • Ensures guest concerns are addressed and resolved with grace and diplomacy; leads others to do the same
  • Ensures Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping operations are consistent with Hotel standards and guest expectations 
  • Accurately execute all company and brand initiatives, policies and procedures with a continuous improvement in quality, service and operations
  • Interact with the General Manager and department heads on a daily basis to ensure exceptional service and maximization of revenues.
  • Develops and implements programs designed to improve the efficiency of the operation and which improve the service to our guests.
  • Perform financial tasks such as estimating costs, preparing and managing budgets.
  • Assists the General Manager in the preparation of forecasts and the annual budget
  • Ensures that all departments are continually balanced while focusing on providing an exceptional experience to every guest and maximizing department profitability at the same time.
  • Strong written communication skills are required to complete essential functions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university/college plus at least three (4) years of related experience: or Work Equivalent
  • Experience with hotel restaurant systems such as MICROS is required. Certificates & Licenses: Serve Safe, TIPS or Care Certified Other Requirements: Previous experience in hotel restaurants required. Management experience required.
  • Excellent computer skills needed including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
