This is a hybrid position based remotely and also out of the Fairfax Crestline Corporate office. 

Senior Financial Analyst (Hotel Performance)

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the analysis and financial related data related to hotel management and brand reporting. This position requires a professional that is highly motivated and a self-starter. This individual must analyze and decipher accounting data to accurately review the department’s reporting obligations. He/she must be able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to further efforts toward continuous process improvements. In addition, he/she must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure and strict deadlines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in the analysis, financial reporting, and benchmarking of Crestline managed hotels
  • Monthly financial statements
  • Communicate operating results to various senior leaders
  • Provide explanations for financial statement variances (vs. forecast, budget) to leadership
  • Perform financial analysis of data reported
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans (analytical support)
  • Streamline reporting and forecasting processes with a focus on new technology to drive business performance
  • Synthesize research and findings into concise presentations
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements
  • Provide analytical support for projects supporting business initiatives

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in Accounting, Finance, or another related field
  • One to two years of related experience
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is both strategic and creative, and which requires rapid learning, multitasking, and prioritizing under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of proactively problem-solving complex issues
  • Proven computer proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict/resolution
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills
  • Demonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
