Senior Financial Analyst


The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for performing the financial analyses related to Crestline’s portfolio of managed hotels, its business development efforts, and the corporate entity itself. This position requires a professional who is highly motivated and a self-starter. This individual must be analytical, deciphering financial data to effectively review and evaluate hotel investment opportunities and to assess the performance of individual hotels in Crestline’s portfolio as well as Crestline’s corporate financial results. He/she must be able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to further efforts toward continuous process improvements. In addition, he/she must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure and strict deadlines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain corporate financial forecasts for Crestline and work with senior leaders to update as needed for various key stakeholders
  • Assist operations team with ad-hoc financial analyses of hotels in Crestline’s portfolio and incorporate into presentations for key stakeholders
  • Work with senior leadership on analyses and presentations related to strategic corporate growth
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses related to presentations for owner relations and business development matters
  • Lend analytical support to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans
  • Synthesize research and findings into concise presentations
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements
  • Assist Crestline accounting team with corporate forecasts and annual budgets
  • Prepare annual board meeting presentation
  • Support risk management functions and act as liaison for hotels with insurance brokers

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) in Accounting, Finance or other related field
  • One to two years of related hospitality experience required
  • Previous experience in a role heavily involved with financial analysis preferred but not required
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is both strategic and creative, and which requires rapid learning, multitasking and prioritizing under tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of proactively problem solving complex issues
  • Proven computer proficiency/high level experience in Excel
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and as a strategic partner in a team environment
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills
  • Demonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
